ID Released For Motorist Killed In Taconic State Parkway Crash

The name of the 36-year-old motorist killed early Sunday morning in a one-car crash on the northbound Taconic State Parkway has been released.

Zafar Rustsmor of Brooklyn, the driver of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene in Dutchess County, state police said.

It happened around 2:25 a.m. Sunday northbound near Miller Hill Road (Exit 35) when Rustsmor's vehicle is believed to have been struck by a falling tree, according to state police. The vehicle then left the roadway.
