To the editor:
It gives me great pleasure to write this letter in support of Karen D’Attore’s candidacy for a seat on the Ossining Town Council. I have known Karen to be an exceptional individual with high integrity who has always had her family and community at the heart of all that she stands for.
I have been her neighbor for 15 years and have seen her extend herself to neighbors old and young. As a colleague, I worked side by side with Karen at Open Door Family Medical Center and saw the drive and passion with which she dedicated herself to improving the lives of so many residents who counted on her to bring much needed and affordable primary health care.
Karen is an individual of high ideals, vision and drive. Everything is possible with Karen. She is never afraid of failure and has the courage to stand up for what she believes to be right. A true advocate for the underserved, she gives of herself unconditionally, setting an example to her friends and family.
As a member of the Ossining Town Council, she will be a change agent who will respond to the real needs of the community, a true leader who will empower and motivate others to transform Ossining into a wholesome community – one that embraces every member of the Town and gives meaning to the word “community.”
