To the Editor,
I am writing to urge you to support Alice Joselow for the Ossining Library Board of Trustees. Alice has devoted the majority of her life in Ossining to advocating on behalf of the children in this community. Over the last 16 years, I have worked with her on numerous projects within the PTA, the Ossining Food Pantry, and Ossining MATTERS education foundation, and I know that when Alice commits to an organization, she brings every bit of her considerable wealth of knowledge and experience into supporting the goals and programs of the institution.
I am a longtime fan of Ossining’s public library. I love the new library building and the expanded array of programs in place there now for toddlers, kids, teenagers, and adults. There is always something going on at the OPL, from daily youth programs and the thousand books project to literacy classes, author events, films, art shows, and concerts, along with programs that highlight our community’s rich cultural diversity.
One of Alice’s main reasons for running for the OPL Board is to continue to support the outstanding programming offered at the library and to seek additional funding to enhance what is already available. I’m confident that she has the experience, the knowledge, and the energy to meet those goals and keep our library the gem that it is.
Please join me in voting for Alice Joselow for the Ossining Library Board of Trustees, and in voting YES for Library Budget on May 15th at OHS.
