My family has been blessed with good neighbors in Ossining. We have always felt welcome and have made good friends.

In 2005, when we moved from one part of the village to another, we met one particular neighbor that stands out: Dana Levenberg. Dana greeted us cheerfully with baked goods when we moved in and instantly made us feel at ease in our new neighborhood.

Her ability to find and comfort residents in need is remarkable: she makes soup for those that are sick, and I’ve known her to supply clothes and toys to those in need. She never raises her hand and says, “Look what I did.” She just does. Over the last ten years, I have worked with Dana on numerous community events, like “Safe Routes to School.”

Here is one example of how Dana helped us improve our neighborhood: after bouncing around ideas on how to lower the speed limit from 30 mph to 15 mph on the roads adjacent to our schools, Dana's knowledge helped me to get it done. She guided me through the process of gathering petitions and presenting the information to the village board. While most people told us this wouldn’t pass, it did -- all within six months!

Dana's charity, passion, dedication, smarts, humor, note-taking and organized, fearless efforts for the truth make it very easy to support her for Ossining town supervisor.

I respect Dana Levenberg very much and consider her a friend. This is why my wife and I will be voting for Dana Levenberg for Ossining town supervisor.
