Wilson 'Bill' Orts, 85, Ossining Resident

OSSINING, N.Y. -- Ossining native Wilson "Bill" Orts, died on Wednesday, Feb. 18. He was 85.

He was born on Oct. 26, 1929, in Ossining to Gertrude Harrigton.

He also served as a sergeant in the Army from 1945-47.

Orts spent his career as a tool and die maker for T&H Tooling.

Orts was an avid fisherman and life member of the Hudson River Boating & Yachting Assoc and member of many boat clubs.

He is survived by his daughter, Tammey Pastor of White Plains and son, Mark Orts of Ardsley, granddaughter Nicole Orts Swan and his sister, Elizabeth Texiera.

Orts was predeceased by his wife of 53 years, Margaret Ann "Marge" Esposito and a son, Shane Orts.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, Feb. 22, at the Sinatra Memorial Home, 601 Yonkers Ave., in Yonkers from 2 to 5 p.m.
