OSSINING, N.Y. - William Joseph Gallagher Jr. of Ossining died Aug. 1. He was 52.
Gallagher was born Sept. 14, 1960, to William Sr. and Grace Gallagher in Peekskill. He graduated from Peekskill in 1978 and then attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill graduating in 1983. He worked for IBM from 1984 to 2004 then in 2010 became a correction officer for Westchester County.
Gallagher is survived by his wife, Patricia; father, William Sr.; sons, William Gallagher III, Mark Gallagher, Griffin Gallagher; step children, Gina Stabile Cerone (Jeff), Dana Stabile, Mark Stabile; sister, Terri Turner (Daniel); and niece and nephew.
Calling hours are Saturday, Aug. 3 and Sunday, Aug. 4 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Yorktown Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug 5 at the 1st Baptist Church in Peekskill.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gallagher’s memory to the Prostate Cancer Foundation or the Hospice Care of Westchester and Putnam County.
