Virginia J. Cianci, 86, Lifelong Ossining Resident

OSSINING, N.Y. - Virginia J. Cianci, a lifelong Ossining resident, died March 14. She was 86.

Cianci was born Aug. 17, 1926, to Pasquale and Catherine Beldotti. She attended Ossining schools from kindergarten through high school and was a graduate of the class of 1944.

She went to school to learn computer data processing late in life. She worked at N.Y. Bell as an operator early in her career and later joined the workforce at her alma mater, Ossining High School, working in food service there. She finished her career path at Maryknoll Sisters Computer Data Center, where she worked for 20 years.

Cianci was a communicant of St. Ann's Church since her birth, and served many years as secretary and treasurer for St. Ann’s School PTA, was member of St. Ann’s Sodality, St. Ann’s Alter Guild, Westchester Troop Cub & Boy Scout and Brownie & Girl Scout Leader, and a member of Ossining Golden Agers, as well as many more community organizations.

Cianci is  survived by sons, James P. (Beth), Patrick J. (Alison), Peter M. (Tracey); daughter, Marianne Shub (Jay); sister, Carolyn DiVico; brother, Anthony Beldotti (Joan); seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Peter; brother, Pasquale Beldotti JR.

Calling hours will be Sunday 2 to 6 p.m. at Leach & Thomas Inc., 32 State St., Ossining. Mass of Christian burial will be Monday 11:30 a.m. at St. Ann's Church, 25 Eastern Ave., Ossining, burial St. Augustine's Cemetery.
