Theodore W. Williams, Jr., 82, Former Ossining Resident

OSSINING, N.Y. - Theodore W. Williams, Jr.  “Ted”, a former resident of Ossining, died Saturday, Feb. 22. He was 82.

Williams was born Sept. 26, 1931, in the Bronx. He was the son of Major Theodore W. and Juliet (Sharon) Williams Sr. He was a 1949 graduate of St. Peter’s High School in Peekskill. He was enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1950 to 1952, where he received a medical retirement. In 1953 he was married to Jeanne D. (Matheson) Lobotsky for approximately 14 years. He attended Pace College and Mercy College where he earned a degree in Behavioral Science. He was a lifelong member of the Marine Corps League and the Disabled American Veteran’s, as well as other organizations.  He was a former member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Ossining.

Williams is survived by his sons, Ted (Pam) Williams of Huntington, W. Va.; Ken Williams of Clinton Corners and Daniel (Melody) Williams of Kodak, Tenn.; daughter, Sharon (Jim) Dik of Lunenburg, Mass.; other children raised in the home include, Christine (Larry) Baldridge of Ohio, and Cecil Williams of Ariz.; several grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.                   

Calling hours are Saturday, March 1 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Dorsey Funeral Home, Inc., 14 Emwilton Pl., Ossining. 914-941-0167. A funeral service to follow at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, with Msgr. Robert J. McCabe officiating. Interment at Dale Cemetery in Ossining.
