Sr. Ann Charles Maye, Fmsc, 86, Worked At St. Ann’s In Ossining

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. - Sister Ann Charles Maye, FMSC, of Peekskill died Oct. 8. She was 86.

Sr. Maye was born Jan. 7, 1928, Irvington, to Annie and Thomas Maye. She attended local schools in Irvington. She entered religious life March 19, 1948, was professed April 19, 1950, and made perpetual vows July 7, 1955. She ministered in St. Joseph's Home, Peekskill, St. Patrick's School, Verplanck, Our Lady of Loretto, Cold Spring, St. Columbanus, Cortlandt Manor, St. Teresa's, Sleepy Hollow, St. Ann's in Ossining and Nyack, Assumption Church, Peekskill, St. Joseph's, West New York, and served as a superior of Mt. St. Francis, Peekskill. She was in service to her Sisters at the Motherhouse in Peekskill.

Sr. Maye was predeceased by her brother, John; and sisters, Agnes and Ann.

Calling hours are Friday, Oct. 10 from 2 to 7 p.m. at Mt. St. Francis, with a service at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, Oct. 11, at 10 a.m. in the chapel at Mt. St. Francis, followed by interment in the Sisters' Cemetery.
