Heiling was born on Oct. 6, 1922, in Brookville to Peter and Anna Heilig. She graduated from Hicksville High School and worked at Grumman Aircraft and the K&O Co. in Bethpage.
She entered the sisterhood in 1949, going to Bolivia in 1953 to teach and various other Christian Community duties. She returned to the U.S. and the Maryknoll Sisters Center in 2002.
A vespers service will be held Tuesday, Dec. 8, at 4:15 p.m. in the Chapel of the Annunciation at the Maryknoll Sisters Center in Maryknoll.
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Wednesday, Dec. 9, at 11 a.m., also at the center.
Interment will be at the Maryknoll Sisters Cemetery.
