Sister Ann Louise Beerhalter, OP, Of Ossining

OSSINING, N.Y. - Sister Ann Louise Beerhalter, OP of the Dominican Sisters of Hope, Ossining died Feb. 27. She was 91.

Sr. Beerhalter born Feb. 21, 1923, in Munnsville, N.Y., she was the daughter of Martin and Anna Zimmerhockel Beerhalter. She entered the novitiate of the Dominican Sisters of the Sick Poor Jan. 15, 1945. From 1945 until 1978 she ministered to the sick poor. In 1978, she retired from her nursing ministry and since that time she volunteered her services at St. Augustine's Church in Ossining and at the Dominican Sisters Chapel in Ossining.

The Dominican Sisters of Hope will celebrate the life of Sister Ann Louise Beerhalter, OP Friday, March 7 in the chapel of the Center of Hope in Ossining.

Viewing in the Chapel at 10:30 a.m. Wake Service at 11:15 a.m. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11:45 a.m. followed by burial in the sisters' Ossining cemetery.

Donations in Sister Beerhalter's name may be made to Dominican Sisters Development Office, 299 North Highland Avenue, Ossining.
