OSSINING, N.Y. – Sabina Modesta, 93, a longtime resident of Ossining, died Saturday, May 30.
She was born Aug. 17. 1921, a daughter of the late Joseph and Teresa Trapasso DeAngelis.
Modesta was raised in Ossining, and graduated in 1939 from Ossining High School.
Survivors include one stepdaughter, Regina Modesta; one stepson, Ronald (Eileen) Modesta; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Her husband, Durantino Modesta; and one sister, Enita (Sal) LoCascio, preceded her in death.
Calling hours will be from 2-4 p.m. Wednesday at the Dorsey Funeral Home, 14 Emwilton Place, Ossining.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 4, at St. Ann's Church, 16 Elizabeth St., Ossining.
Interment will be in the Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ossining Volunteer Ambulance Corps, 8 Clinton Ave., Ossining, NY 10562.
