OSSINING, N.Y. - Rita Goldenberg of Suffern, formerly of Ossining, died Oct. 8. She was 88.
Goldenberg was born in 1925, she was a retired elementary school teacher in the East Ramapo School District.
Goldenberg is survived by her daughter, Louise Matek (Michael) of Evanston, Ill.; son, Ira (Sue) of Ossining; three grandchildren; sister, Irene; brother, Irwin; sister-in-law, Jacki Brownstein; nieces and nephews; friends; and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14 at Hellman Memorial Chapels. Interment will follow at Sharon Gardens Cemetery, Valhalla, NY. A period of mourning will be observed at Ira's home.
