OSSINING, N.Y. – Richard A. Andrews, a former Ossining resident and a charter member of the Ossining Volunteer Fire Department, died Monday, June 1, in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was 87.
Andrews gave the fire department 30 years of service.
He also was a retired New York Telephone Co. employee.
Survivors include his wife, Una Andrews; one daughter, Bonnie Rathbun of Ithaca, N.Y.; three sons, Richard A. Andrews Jr. of Corpus Christi, Texas, Fred Andrews of Houston and Kenneth Andrews of Wallkill, N.Y.; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
His first wife, Helen Washburn Andrews of Ossining, preceded him in death.
