Phillip J. Marconi, 83, Former Ossining Resident, Korean War Veteran

MONROE TOWNSHIP, N.J. - Phillip J. Marconi of Monroe Township, formerly of Ossining, died Nov. 16. He was 83.

Marconi was born April 28, 1930, in Ossining, to Robert and Mary (Gallicani) Marconi. He graduated from Ossining High School in 1948. He was a Korean War veteran who served in the U.S. Army. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service for many years.

Marconi is survived by his wife, Nancy; daughters, Kimberly Helmintoller, Lynn Wallace; and sister, Marie Nolan. He was predeceased by his brothers, Joseph and Nicholas.

Calling hours are Tuesday, Nov. 19 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Leach & Thomas, Inc. , 32 State St., Ossining. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20  at St. Ann’s Church, burial St. Augustine’s Cemetery.
