Paul Borowiec, 63, Longtime Ossining Resident

OSSINING, N.Y. — Longtime Ossining resident Paul Borowiec died on Saturday, May 7. He was 63.

A native of Levittown, Pa., Borowiec moved to Westchester County in 1972 to study philosophy at Kings College.

He was self-employed as a private contractor and was a member of All Saints’ Episcopal Church in Briarcliff Manor.

He volunteered for Loaves and Fishes, Hurricane Sandy relief, and Habitat for Humanity. 

Borowiec is survived by his wife, Pamela, who teaches math at The Masters School in Dobbs Ferry, and their son Timothy, an eighth grader at the Masters School; his mother Margaret Kawanami Borowiec; his sisters Catherine Borowiec Olivo and Elizabeth Borowiec; his brother Peter Borowiec; and three nieces and nephews. 

He was predeceased by his father, Walter Borowiec. 

The family will receive friends at Leach & Thomas Funeral Home, 32 State St., in Ossining, on Friday, May 13 from 4-8 p.m. 

A funeral service will be held at Scarborough Presbyterian Church, 655 Scarborough Road and Rt. 9 in Briarcliff Manor, on Saturday, May 14 at 2:30 p.m. 

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the Timothy Borowiec Educational Fund.
