Mary W. Garvin, 76, Of Ossining, Day Care Worker

OSSINING, N.Y. - Mary W. Garvin, of Ossining, died March 22. She was 76.

Garvin was born Aug. 12, 1936, in Elberton, Ga., to Asbury Guest and Louise Broaner. She worked at St. Matthew’s Methodist Church in the Day Care Program.

Garvin is survived by her son, William Brownlee (Janeen); daughter, Charlie Knight (Thomas); sister, Tommie Mae Tillman; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.

Calling hours are Thursday March 28 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Leach & Thomas, Inc. Funeral Home 32 State St., Ossining, service will follow at 4:30 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints 801 Kitchawan Road, Ossining. Burial, Tuesday April 2 at the Tate Grove Cemetery in Elberton, Ga.
