Marion Stahl, 85, Former Ossining Village Clerk

OSSINING, N.Y. – Marion E. Stahl, a lifelong resident of Ossining and former village clerk, died Jan. 7. She was 85.

She was born Nov. 12, 1927, in Ossining to Emil and Loretta Conry von Hasseln. She attended local schools and graduated from Ossining High School in 1945. She was then employed by New York Central Railroad, the YMCA and Crucible Steel.

In 1966, Stahl became employed by the Village of Ossining clerk's office. She retired as the village clerk on Sept. 2, 1991. She was a communicant of St. Ann's Church in Ossining.

Stahl is survived by her husband, Warren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Patricia Cito, on July 27, 2007.

Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Dorsey Funeral Home in Ossining. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Ann's Church. Burial will follow at St. Augustine's Cemetery in Ossining.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a favorite charity.
