Juan De Dios Martinez, 65, Longtime Resident Of Ossining

OSSINING, N.Y. -- Juan De Dios Martinez, a resident of Buchanan and a resident of Ossining for over 30 years, died on June 14 at Rosary Hill Home in Hawthorne. He was 65.

Juan was born in Santiago, Dominican Republic on April 8, 1950 and was the son of Pablo Perez and Carmen Martinez. 

Martinez was a longtime construction worker with Feetstar Corp. of Ossining. He was also  former mechanic with Streamline Auto and Cappello’s Auto Repair.  Most recently he was a clerk with Arcadian Cards and Stationary in Ossining.

Martinez loved the Mets, the outdoors, grilling and children. He was also known to all as being very happy, humorous and a positive man. He was a parishioner of St. Ann’s Church in Ossining.

Martinez is survived by his wife Gloria;  children Theresa, Eloy, Maria, Melissa, Clarissa, Cynthia and Isabel; 14 grandchildren and his sisters Yolanda and America.

Visiting hours will be held Tuesday June 16 from 3:30-6:30 p.m. at Dorsey Funeral Home, Inc. in Ossining www.dorseyfuneral.com . The funeral mass will be held at St. Ann’s Church 25 Eastern Ave. in Ossining  following the visitation at 7 p.m. Interment will be held privately.
