OSSINING, N.Y. — Josephine T. Valvano died Tuesday, Feb. 4, in Ossining. She was 86.
She was predeceased by her parents, Leonard and Madeline Capuano, and her husband, Pasquale Valvano, who passed away in 2006. Born on March 19, 1928, in New York City, she married Pasquale on Dec. 2, 1951.
She is survived by her children: son Joseph and his wife, Therese, daughter Angela Nardone and her husband, Fiorello, daughter Madeline Russolese and her husband, George, son Leonard and his wife, Linda; and eight grandchildren, Kathryn, Ross, Christopher, Michael, Jonathan, Lenny, Lexi and Lauren.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations in Josephine's memory to My Second Home, 95 Radio Circle Drive, Mount Kisco, NY 10549.
Visiting hours are Friday, Feb. 6, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial is set for Saturday, Feb. 7, at 10 a.m. at St. Augustine Church in Ossining. Interment will follow at St. Augustine Cemetery.
