OSSINING, N.Y. -- Joan B. Reddy, 83, a lifelong resident of Ossining, died Thursday, Jan. 8.
Reddy was born Sept. 18, 1931, in Ossining to Emile and Meletia (Dunstan) DeBrocky. She married James E. Reddy Jr. on Oct. 17, 1953, at St. Ann’s Church in Ossining.
Reddy graduated from Ossining High School in 1949. She was the senior operator at Sing Sing Correctional Facility and retired after 25 years. She was a member of the Ossining Senior Citizens Club and served as its recording secretary.
She is survived by her sons James III (Diane) of Purchase, Thomas (Kara) of Ossining and daughter Barbara, also of Ossining; and five grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, brother Edward and sister Joyce Ferreira.
