James DiCesaris, 89, Ossining Resident

OSSINING, N.Y. — Ossining resident James DiCesaris died on Monday, May 2. He was 89. 

DiCesaris was born in Ossining on July 20, 1926, to Alfonso & Maria (DiDonato) DiCesaris. 

He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and later worked for the New York Central Railroad in the Croton-Harmon yard. 

He is survived by a son, Thomas, daughter, Carol Cantell and a brother, Alfonso DeCesaris

DiCesaris was predeceased by a son, James Jr., a brother, Anthony and sister, Florence. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 5, at 10 a.m. at St. Ann's Church, 25 Eastern Ave., with burial to follow at St. Augustine's Cemetery.
