Helen Garrett, 92, Retired Postal Worker, Of Ossining

OSSINING, N.Y. – Helen Katherine Garrett of Ossining died Jan. 26 at Calvary Hospital in the Bronx, N.Y. She was 92.

Garrett was born Sept. 13, 1920, in the Bronx to Ludwig and Elizabeth Pflughaber Meyer. She was a longtime member of Our Saviour Lutheran Church in Croton-on-Hudson. Garrett was a retired postal worker from the Pleasantville Post Office.

She is survived by a son, Jack; a daughter, Betty Moskowitz; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Jack.

Visitation is from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Dorsey Funeral Home in Ossining.  Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Our Saviour Lutheran Church. Interment will be private.
