OSSINING, N.Y. -- George P. Burckhard, formerly of Ossining, died on April 4, surrounded by his family. He was 58.
George was the son of Joseph and Mary (nee Hand) Burckhard.
He is survived by his wife Debbie; sons Joseph (Lauren) and Charles; daughter Kelly; brothers Gerry (Peggy), Joseph (Nancy) and Kevin (Winnie); sisters Marybeth (Dave) and Barbara (Jeff); sister-in-law Amy; granddaughters Ellen and Ava; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Paul.
Burckhard was a life long member of Washington Hook and Ladder Company of the Ossining Fire Department. He worked as a school bus driver for the Hudson Valley Bus Company.
Visiting will be Sunday 2-4 and 7-9, with a memorial service at 8 PM, all at Dorsey Funeral Home , 14 Emwilton Place, in Ossining, .
