OSSINING, N.Y. -- Elvio Finocchi, an Ossining resident, died on Sunday. He was 78.
Elvio was born in Popoli, Italy on April 19, 1936 and was the son of Cesidio and Florina (D'Amato) Finocchi. He was the retired co-owner and operator of B&E Deli in Ossining, with his brother Benny.
He was a communicant of St. Ann's Church and enjoyed golfing. Elvio is survived by his wife Nina; three sons Jesse (Joann), John (Maddalena) and Tony (Maryann); four grandchildren, Michelle, Jesse, Matteo and Marco; and his sister Anna (Vincent) D'Addona.
He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Antonio and Bonifacio (Benny).
Visiting hours will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 11 at Dorsey Funeral Home, 14 Emwilton Place. The funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 12 at St. Ann's Church, 25 Eastern Ave. Interment will be at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.
