Dominick DiLecce, 82, Worked For Bank Of New York

OSSINING, N.Y. -- Dominick DiLecce of Hyde Park, died on Saturday, March 28. He was 82.

DiLecce was born on Dec. 12, 1932 and was the son of the late Nicola and Domenica (Steglienese) DiLecce. He was 82.

He was a Veteran of U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a retired banker with the Bank of New York. He was also an avid traveler with his car and visited all of the states except Alaska. His passion was sports and he was a fan of the Mets, Rangers and the Giants.  He also enjoyed being active and around people.

DiLecce is survived by his wife of 56 years, Helene (Fichman); children Christina (Michael) Vaczi and Michael; two siblings (both predeceased); six grandchildren Lauren (Matt) Hover, Samantha, Olivia Vaczi, Michael, Matthew and Paige Vaczi.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, March 31 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Dorsey Funeral Home in Ossining. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Augustine’s Church in Ossining. Interment will follow at St. Augustine’s Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society.
