OSSINING, N.Y. Dolores Jean Carter, a longtime Ossining resident, died Aug. 29 at her home. She was 87.
She was born Oct. 27, 1924, to Victor and Beatrix Berberich Brown. Carter graduated from Ossining High School in 1942 and married Joseph Carter on Nov. 17, 1946, at St. Ann's Church.
Carter is survived by her husband, Joseph; two sons, Jay (Julie) and Brad Carter; and two grandchildren.
Visiting hours are from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Dorsey Funeral Home in Ossining. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Ann's Church. Burial will follow at Dale Cemetery in Ossining.
