Clement Martone, 87, Of Ossining, U.S. Army Veteran

OSSINING, N.Y. -- Clement P. Martone Jr. of Ossining, died May 4, 2015, at Skyview Nursing Home. He was 87. 

Martone was born March 13, 1928, in North Tarrytown to Clemente and Adelina Passerillo Martone. He graduated from North Tarrytown High School in 1948 and Packard Business School in NYC in 1949. He served in the U.S. Army from 1946-47. On May 2, 1954, he married Philomena Biordi at Holy Name of Mary Church, Croton-on-Hudson. 

Martone worked as a police officer for the Village of Tuckahoe from 1955-78. He worked at Marymount College, Tarrytown as a security guard from 1979-99. Martone was an associate member of Independent Hose Co. #6, Holla Hose Co. #5 of the Ossining Fire Deptartment, and Union Hose Co. of the Sleepy Hollow Fire Deptartment. 

Surviving are his wife, Philomena Martone; daughter, Adelina Godelsky; and grandson, Matthew Godelsky. He was predeceased by three brothers and four sisters. 

A Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Ann’s Church, Ossining. Burial will be at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be sent to St. Ann’s Church.
