Rubow spent the first 16 years of his life with his family in Ossining. He began his college career at 16, graduating from Binghamton University with his bachelor's in psychology; Vanderbilt University with his master's in special education; and will posthumously receive his doctorate in psychology, specializing in Applied Behavior Analysis, from the University of Florida.
His first research paper has been accepted for publication in a premier journal.
Rubow loved family get togethers, was a talented musician, a lover of nature and children, and had a giving, gentle soul.
Survivors include his mother, Emily Rubow and father, Roger Rubow; brothers, Victor and Spencer Rubow; three grandparents, aunts, uncles, nieces, cousins, and friends and colleagues.
A memorial gathering will take place Saturday, Oct. 1, from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m., with a Mass at 10:45 a.m. at St. Ann's Church, Ossining, N.Y.
