OSSINING, N.Y. – Carmela Badia, of Ossining, died on Tuesday, June 30. She was 87.
Badia was born on Sept. 25, 1927, in Sassinoro, Italy to Michele and Angela Mastrantuono.
She emigrated to New York in 1966 and working as a seamstress and a cook.
She was predeceased by her husband, Michele, and a brother, Pasquale.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Angela and Christopher Millman, sisters and brothers Antonia Palombo, John Mastrantuono, Nicola Mastrantuono and Maria Manocchio.
Visiting hours are on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Leach & Thomas, Inc., 32 State St. in Ossining.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Ann's Church, with interment to follow at St. Augustine's Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to St Jude's Children's Hospital or the American Cancer Society are appreciated.
