OSSINING, N.Y. – Bruce L. La Rose, 72, a longtime Ossining resident, died Sunday, Jan. 18.
Born on March 27, 1942, he was a son of the late Leo and Lucy Heredeen La Rose.
La Rose served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam era, and was a professor of geography and economics at Rockland Community College until his retirement.
Survivors include three daughters, Nicole Sanchez, Danielle Elliott, and Cosette La Rose; and five grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, at St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church, 381 N. Highland Ave., Ossining.
Burial will follow in St. Augustine's Cemetery.
Dorsey Funeral Home, Ossining, handled the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Hospital, 1461 Eastchester Road, Bronx, NY 1046.
