OSSINING, N.Y. -- Benita D'Angelo Beisler Fortunato, a longtime resident of Ossining, died at her home, surrounded by her family, on Tuesday, Dec. 30.
The daughter of Pasquale and Carmela D'Angelo, she was born and raised in Mount Vernon, N.Y.
She is survived by her husband, Anthony J. Fortunato, of Ossining; daughters Dana Beisler Degnan of White Plains, N.Y.; Jennifer Beisler Hawley of Ossining, N.Y.; stepson Anthony J. Fortunato Jr. (Grace DiMarte) of Connecticut; and Loriann Fortunato Pelletier of Connecticut; seven grandchildren: Anthony Fortunato III, Alyssa Fortunato, Cody Pelletier, Jordan Fortunato, Marsella Degnan, Julianna Hawley and Ryan Fortunato. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
She was predeceased by her sister, Maria D’Angelo Nanni; her brother, John D’Angelo; and grandson Dylan A. Fortunato.
A wake will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 5, at Waterbury & Kelly Funeral Home, 1300 Pleasantville Road, Briarcliff Manor, N.Y. Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 6, in Ferncliff Chapel, Hartsdale, N.Y.
