OSSINING, N.Y. ? The following events scheduled for Monday in Ossining have been canceled because of Hurricane Sandy. Check back regularly with The Ossining Daily Voice . We will update this list as information comes in.

Monday, Oct. 29

CLOSED ? Ossining Union Free School District. District officials said Sunday that all schools would be closed Monday and all school-related activities canceled.

CANCELED ? Ossining High School College Fair: 7:45-10:30 a.m. Ossining High School.

CANCELED ? Ossining Chamber of Commerce Candidate's Forum. The chamber's annual forum scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Caputo Community Center has been canceled until further notice.

Tuesday, Oct. 30

CLOSED ? Ossining Union Free School District. District officials said Sunday that all schools would be closed Tuesday and all school-related activities canceled.

OPEN - Caputo Community Center, 95 Broadway. The center remain open as an emergency shelter through the storm. Officials report the center is running on a generator.

CLOSED - Ossining Train Station. Officials are asking residents to avoid all riverfront areas as flooding has been reported throughout the storm.

CLOSED - Ossining Public Library. The library will remain closed through the storm. All library programs have been canceled until further notice.

CLOSED - All Town and Village of Ossining parks will remain closed until further notice.

Wednesday, Oct. 31

CLOSED ? Ossining Union Free School District. District officials said Tuesday that all schools would be closed Wednesday and all school-related activities canceled.

OPEN - Caputo Community Center, 95 Broadway. The center remain open as an emergency shelter through the storm. Officials report the center is running on a generator.

Thursday, Nov. 1

OPEN - Ossining Public Library. The facility is open with power and heat. Library officials said the wi-fi is working but there is no internet.
