Westchester Police Arrest Ossining Man on DWI

OSSINING, N.Y. – Westchester County Police say they arrested an Ossining man on a Driving While Intoxicated charge Sunday. 

Antonio Magalhaes, 45, of Ossining, was observed "driving erratically" on Route 9A around midnight Feb. 12, according to the Westchester Department of Public Safety - Ossining Command. Magalhaes reportedly failed a sobriety test and was charged with DWI, a misdemeanor, according to a press release.

He was booked at county police headquarters and released on $200 bail pending a Feb. 21 appearance in Ossining Town Court, according to the release. 

In other news from the police blotter: 

– Westchester County Police responded to a residence on Horsehoe Circle on a report of a family dispute on Feb. 11. The dispute was determined to be only verbal in nature. 

– School staff at the Anne M. Dorner Middle School reported that a man was observed on school grounds in the area being used by students during recess on Feb. 6. The man, whose son attends the school, told Westchester County police that he had just attended a parent meeting at the school and had decided to look for his son during recess. An officer confirmed the man’s account with school officials.
