Westchester Children's Association Adds To Staff

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- Westchester Children’s Association (WCA) has added new staff members: Denise Killeen as the communications and data associate and Erica Ayala as project manager.

Killeen graduated Cum Laude from the College of Charleston with a bachelor of arts in anthropology in 2010. Prior to joining WCA, she worked at the Westchester Coalition for the Hungry and Homeless, and then at the Food Bank for Westchester as the programs services coordinator, where she oversaw a network of over 150 feeding agencies and managed the senior grocery program. 

A native of Croton-on-Hudson, Killeen currently lives in the Bronx. 

Ayala will work to advance the Gathering Policy Solutions for Kids Collective Impact Initiative. She has over 10 years of non-profit and corporate leadership training and development experience. Prior to joining WCA, Ayala was the youth leadership development associate at the CDF-New York office. She was profiled as a Champion for Change for Children by the Children’s Defense Fund during the organization’s 40th Anniversary. She received a bachelor of arts in political science from Elon University in 2008. 

Ayala was raised in New Rochelle and currently lives in Mount Vernon. She will receive her masters of public administration at New York University Robert F. Wagner School of Public Service in May.
