OSSINING, N.Y. -- Sharpshooters killed 11 deer at Ossining's Teatown Lake Reservation last month as part of a cull to maintain balance within the area's ecosystem, according to LoHud.com.

Teatown had received a permit to euthanize as many as 75 deer, but had said they planned on keeping the number closer to 30. Teatown officials said the number was so low due to cold weather and snow, LoHud.com reported.

Mr G please watch:

Replace wolves with "sharpshooters" and imagine the possible positive change to the area.

Lowering the population of deer protects the population from death (deer are the #1 animal killer in this country) along with reducing disease.

If you want all the deer to live, let me know where you live, I'll happily deposit Lyme disease infected deer ticks on yourself, your property and in your house.

If you love deer-love the reality of deer-not just some children's movie.

What a poor example of a so called Nature Preserve. Disgusting.
