Several village agencies met recently to weigh an expansion of the definition of "artisanal" so it would include such enterprises as distilling, brewing, confections and frozen desserts, theexaminernews reported. 

The village currently defines artisanal as relating to art or forms of craft that are made by hand tools or machines, according to theexaminernews.
