OSSINING, N.Y. - In case you weren't able to check in with The Ossining Daily Voice every day, here are a few of the top stories from this week.

Ossining runner Michele Lawton was less than a mile from the finish line of the Boston Marathon on Monday when she was stopped in her tracks and not allowed to run any farther because two bombs had exploded near the finish line.

The Green Ossining Committee invited community members to attend Saturday’s Greater Ossining Earth Day and Stash the Trash 2013 at Louis Engel Waterfront Park.

An individual spotted Wednesday morning on the hills behind Briarcliff Manor Middle School/High School prompted school officials to contact police to investigate, a message from the Briarcliff Manor school district said. Police concluded there was no threat and said the individual who was spotted was a student who had left campus without permission.
