OSSINING, N.Y. There's no reason to leave the Ossining area this weekend if you are looking for something to do. Here's a list of weekend events in Ossining and Briarcliff Manor.
Friday
- Free drop-in help with computers at the Ossining Public Library from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more information, residents are asked to contact Cheryl at 941-2416 ext. 315. - The Briarcliff Public Library presents Friday Night at the Movies: "The Help" (PG-13). All residents are invited to come see this Oscar-nominated movie on the librarys big screen. Light refreshments will be served. Registration is recommended at 941-7072 or sglick@wlsmail.org. Saturday- The Ossining Public Library features a photography class from 1 to 3 p.m. To register prior to the class, residents are asked to contact Director Jim Farrell at 941-2416 ext. 333. - Valentines Day Crafts at the Ossining Public Library Teen Room at 2:30 p.m. Seating is limited to the first 12 arrivals. - The All Aboard Childrens Recital features songs from area kids at the Ossining Public Librarys Budarz Theatre at 3 p.m.
Sunday- A free concert for Black History Month featuring Ted Daniel at the Ossining Public Librarys Budarz Theatre. Doors open at 2:30 p.m. for the concert starting at 3 p.m.- Receive tips on exploring your ancestry from a professional genealogist through a cooperative program with the Briarcliff Manor Historical Society and the Briarcliff Public Library. Seating is limited to 60 people and residents are asked to call the library 941-7072 for reservations.
