OSSINING, N.Y. Ossining High School students showed their spirit on Thursday by dressing up according to class themes.
The dress-up day was part of Spirit Week which culminates in the election of a Homecoming King and Queen for each class followed by an evening football game on Friday.
"I'm excited. My favorite time in school is when it's Homecoming time because everyone's excited and crazy," said Stephanie Andoy, the junior class president.
Dress up themes chosen by the student council were "animal types" for Freshmen, "nerds" for Sophomores, "Mardi Gras" for Juniors and "athletic training gear" for Seniors.
"It was easy to dress up because our class president just passed out (Mardi Gras) beads to everyone," said Junior Olivia MacDonald.
Senior Jackson Kane was wearing a tank top and a sweat band around his head.
"It's just work out stuff so it's easy," he said.
