Snow Emergency Declared In Ossining

OSSINING, N.Y. -- The Village of Ossining has declared a snow emergency in anticipation of the significant Nor'easter set to hit the region late Wednesday night.

Snow emergency rules and regulations will be in effect as of 5 p.m. Under this local statute, parking, standing or stopping of vehicles is prohibited on the following designated streets:

  • Broad Avenue South From So. Highland Ave. to State St.
  • Croton Avenue
  • Dale Avenue
  • Edward Street West From Broad Avenue to Washington Ave.
  • Everett Avenue South From So. Highland Ave. to Spring Street
  • Ferris Place West 
  • Lafayette Avenue South From Spring Street to State Street
  • Main Street Both 
  • North Highland Ave. 
  • Pleasantville Road 
  • Secor Road 
  • South Highland Ave. 
  • Spring Street West 
  • State Street West 
  • William Street South From So. Highland Ave. to State Street

In the event vehicles are not moved from the above referenced streets, the Police Department is authorized to ticket or have the vehicle removed from the street.
