More than 200 families came to the community center for the Breakfast With Santa event, which has been a village institution for more than 30 years. Besides taking their picture with Santa, kids got a free gift and to enjoy Christmas carols from Annie and the Natural Wonder Band.

"I've been here for 30 years and I just love it," Debra Frieder said. "Kids look forward to it all year. It's just wonderful."

Mayor Bill Hanauer was at the event helping serve breakfast.

"This is a community building exercise," Hanauer said. "It feeds a lot of kids. It's a great holiday celebration for kids and their parents. There are a lot of new families and a lot of people who have been helping here for years."

John Deagustin brought his three daughters, Sophia, Samantha and Paulina to meet Santa. Samantha said she wanted an American Girl doll while Sophia wanted a Monster High house.

"This is our first time coming here," Deagustin said. "This is a great event."

Manuel Quezada said he enjoyed bringing his daughters, Anna and Lily, to meet Santa Claus.

"It shows that Christmas means a lot to people to Ossining," Quezada said.
