Commuters fear the closure of an onramp to the Thruway in Tarrytown will create massive delays.

TARRYTOWN, N.Y. -- Commuters that use the Tappan Zee Bridge fear the closure of the northbound on-ramp to the New York State Thruway on Route 9 in Tarrytown will create more traffic jams and delays, according to LoHud.com.

The Thruway authority said much of the delays came from holiday shopping traffic, bad weather and several crashes helped create the traffic nightmare, according to LoHud.com.
