OSSINING, N.Y. - Here are some of the stories that topped the news in Ossining this week:
- A 47-year-old Ossining woman, crossing South Highland Avenue at the intersection of Everett Avenue, was struck by a car, reported Patch.com.
- A 1-year-old girl died as the result of a car crash on the northbound Sprain Brook Parkway. The crash led to a vehicle fire that closed the northbound Sprain for more than two hours.
- Bart D'Uva, 86, of Ossining , who owned and operated Pircio Cleaners, died Nov. 24. He was a past-president of the Ossining Rotary Club, a member of the Chamber of Commerce, Ossining Fire Dept., Holla Hose, and the American Legion Post 506.
- Recent polls conducted by Quinnipiac University and a Wall Street Journal/NBC New York 4/Marist College show Gov. Andrew Cuomo to have a significant advantage against Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino if the two were to run against each other.
