Pace University Announces Its Commencement Speakers

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. -- Pace University has announced its commencement speakers and honorary degree recipients for its New York City and Westchester ceremonies.

This year’s honorary degree recipient and speaker for Pace’s New York City undergraduate commencement ceremony is Charles Phillips, chief executive officer of Infor, the world’s third largest provider of enterprise software applications. The New York undergraduate commencement will be held Wednesday, May 20, at 10:30 a.m. at the Theater at Madison Square Garden.

Pace’s graduate commencement speaker and honorary degree recipient will be Gen. Charles C. Krulak, who served 35 years in the U.S. Marine Corps. His last position was as commandant of the Marine Corps and a member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. During his military service, Krulak was awarded the Defense Distinguished Service Medal, the Silver Star Medal, three Bronze Star Medals with Combat “V”, two Purple Hearts and many other decorations and medals. The graduate commencement will be held May 20 at 4 p.m. at The Theater at Madison Square Garden.

For the Pace Law School commencement, Preet Bharara, U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York, will serve as the honorary degree recipient and speaker on Sunday, May 17 at Pace Law School, 78 N. Broadway, White Plains. As U.S. attorney, Bharara oversees the investigation and litigation of all criminal and civil cases brought on behalf of the United States in the Southern District of New York. 

The Westchester Undergraduate Commencement will have Pace alumnus Barry Klarberg, founder and chief executive officer of Monarch Business and Wealth Management, specializing in wealth management for leading sports and entertainment clients, as its honorary recipient and speaker on Tuesday, May 19, at 11 a.m.
