Beylka Krupp of Wobble Cafe won the Grand Prize Wednesday in General Mills' Neighborhood to Nation Recipe Contest in Minneapolis. Krupp wins $40,000 and $10,000 will be donated to a Westchester charity.

General Mills asked neighborhood restaurants to submit a recipe for a dish that reflects their local favor. The recipe was inspired by Krupp's time in New Orleans.

The winning recipe includes Cajun-spiced shrimp stew that blends tomato, garlic, onion, cream and Cajun spices and herbs served with rice and jalapeno-cheese cornbread.

“Grand Prize Winner Beylka Krupp’s recipe for shrimp etouffee particularly wowed our judges, who were impressed with her use of a General Mills product to create a truly signature dish to differentiate her menu.” said Danielle Benson, associate channel manager for General Mills Foodservice.

"It's been an exciting two days at General Mills," said Krupp, who was calling from the Minneapolis airport on her way home.

At General Mills, Krupp spent the day at headquarters and had a cooking demonstration from celebrity chef Amanda Freitag, where she learned to make brisket hash.

Krupp said the win validates all the work she is doing at Wobble Cafe.

"We're a community business," Krupp said. "This really affirms that we're doing things the right way in our goal to nourish the community. It's nice to have that validation."

Krupp said she doesn't know what she will do with the $40,000 and she didn't want to jinx herself by thinking about winning the prize.

"I'm sure my kids have some ideas," Krupp said. "I want to take a family vacation and reinvest in the community."

Wobble Cafe will be open for dinner Thursday night and Krupp said she is ready to get back to work. The restaurant will celebrate 10 years on April 1.

"I want to congratulate Ossining," Krupp said. "This is a great win for Ossining, not just for us."

Krupp said she plans on making sure her shrimp etouffee is on the menu all the time.
