OSSINING, N.Y. – Michele Lawton of Ossining was running the Boston Marathon for the second time on Monday for The New England Center for Children.
She did not finish the race before the blasts, according to the Boston Athletic Association website, but someone at her home said she and her family are fine.
Lawton, 51, told The Daily Voice last week that she felt indebted to The New England Center for Children since it helped her autistic son, Jack, live an independent life.
She previously ran the marathon in 2010.
