Ossining Man Charged With Edward Street Burglary

A 24-year-old Ossining man was charged with burglary after entering a second-floor apartment on Edward Street through a front window, police said.

A resident of Edward Street saw the man enter into his neighbor's apartment on June 16 around 9:45 a.m., police said, and he alerted police.

Tavar Young, 24, was arrested and charged with Burglary in the Second Degree, a class C felony, after police saw him exiting through a rear window and apprehended him after a short chase near Martin Road and South Highland Avenue, police said.

Also in Ossining:

-Two 19-year-old Ossining men were charged with robbery after allegedly displaying a knife and taking money from the drawer of a home they were invited into, police said.

Karel Rennals-Walker of Everett Avenue and Codi Tristan Whyte of Snowden Avenue were charged with Robbery in the Second Degree, a class C felony, after police arrested them near the victim's home on June 16 at around 3 p.m. police said.

-An teen and a 45-year-old woman were found in possession of PCP-laced marijuana in the area of Main and Water Street on June 17, police said.

Jose Miguel Suarez, 16, of Paulding Street in Peekskill and Karri Blalock, 45, of Valley Street in Sleepy Hollow, were both arrested at around 11:45 a.m. and charged with Criminal Possession of Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree, a class A misdemeanor, police said.

Suarez was also charged with Resisting Arrest, a class A misdemeanor, after reaching into his pocket and attempting to swallow the contraband he had, then attempting to prevent officers from taking him into custody, police said.

A third person who was with Suarez and Blalock was released and not charged, police said.

-A 21-year-old Ossining man became loud, threatening and disorderly after he was refused entrance to the Karma Lounge on Main Street on June 19 at around 1 a.m., police said.

Beiron Leonard, 21, of Main Street, was charged with Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Arrest after he attempted to return to the Karma Lounge and became combative, police said.
