OSSINING, N.Y. – The Ossining Food Pantry will be celebrating its 26th anniversary with the Annual Celebration fundraiser. The organization is non-profit and volunteer-run, and was able to serve 150,000 meals in 2013 to families including children and the elderly.

Around 100 volunteers donated their services to the organization in 2013, and many individuals and businesses made generous donations to keep the pantry up and running. The goal for the annual fundraiser is to come up with enough money to keep the program going, to help as many local underprivileged people as possible.

“As an all-volunteer organization, where every dollar reaches those in need, where leadership is totally committed, Ossining Food Pantry brings relief and hope to the struggling in our community, and the joy of service to those who support it,” Karin Chaudhari, chair of the Annual Celebration committee, said.

For more information about the fundraiser, call Chaudhari at 914-941-5736 or leave a message on the OFP office phone line at 914-762-5510. Donations may be sent to the Ossining Food Pantry, P.O. Box 869, Ossining, NY 10562.
