Additionally, there will be no garbage collection on Tuesday. If regular collection days are Tuesday/Friday, the village asks residents to hold garbage for collection on Friday. Normal garbage collection schedule will resume on Wednesday with recycling.
During a snow emergency, standing or stopping of vehicles is prohibited on the following designated streets:
Broad Avenue, South, S Highland to State St, the entire length of Croton and Dale Avenues, Edward Street, West, Broad Avenue to Washington Avenue, Everett Avenue South, South Highland Avenue to Spring Street, Ferris Place, West, the entire length, Layfayette Avenue South from Spring Street to State Street, Main Street, both sides, entire length, N. Highland Avenue both sides for the entire length, Pleasantville Road both sides for the entire length, Secor Road for both sides for the entire length, S. Highland Avenue, both sides for the entire length, Spring Street West for the entire length, State Street West for the entire length, William Street South from S. Highland Avenue to State Street.
If vehicles are not moved from the above referenced streets, the police department is authorized to ticket and/or have said vehicles removed from the street. Removal of vehicles from these streets enables village staff to properly clear roadways to allow these streets to be safely navigated.
